GWC Honored for Contributions towards 10 Million Incident-Free Work Hours at QAFAC

GWC (Q.P.S.C.), the leading logistics provider in the State of Qatar, has been honored and recognized for its contributions towards 10 million incident-free work hours at QAFAC’s Messaieed Industrial City. In honor of this momentous milestone achievement in HSSE Management, QAFAC held an awards ceremony to recognize the top 12 contributing contractors to this milestone, with over 500 attendees present. Senior Director of Commercial Services Mr. Naji Nassar received the award on behalf of GWC from QAFAC CEO Mr. Khaled Sultan Al Kuwari.

In addition, the assembled contractors showcased their various safety response procedures through a number of demonstrations and presentations. At the GWC stall, visitors were demonstrated with emergency responses to chemical spills inside a warehouse and how to ideally handle that, the audience also learned about the trainings GWC provide to all its employees on its systems and organizational requirements, developing the core competencies of its staff. The company also displayed its safety preventative maintenance procedures aimed at ensuring the safety, health and security of its staff, in addition to minimizing the company’s impact on the environment.

The award ceremony came after a year of renewed support for the Oil and Gas industry by GWC, who increased their 3PL or 4PL operations with several major industry clients, in addition to creating an Oil and Gas logistics supply base over 125,000 square meters in record time at the request of a newly acquired client.
