A single donation may help as many as three patients – GWC staff donates 52 units

GWC (Q.S.C.), the leading logistics provider in the region, has celebrated its fourth year in donating blood through a cooperative event held with the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) on October 12^th, 2016.

Over 64 employees arrived at the company’s Street 15 facility in the Doha Industrial Area, where the HMC’s specialized blood donation vehicle collected over 52 units of blood. A single donation may help as many as three patients, while a car crash victim may require as many as 50 units of blood.

GWC Group CEO Mr. Ranjeev Menon commended both HMC and GWC employees for ensuring that the campaign was a success, and noted: “these employees demonstrate the spirit of passionate giving and participation that are essential components of GWC culture. GWC has always sought to ensure the public welfare through active contribution to initiatives that meaningfully benefit the well-being of Qatari society and the nation.”
