730 Days LTI Free at GWC Ras Laffan Industrial City West Side Service Area Facility
GWC (Q.P.S.C.), the leading logistics provider in the State of Qatar, held a ceremony on 21 Nov. 2019 to celebrate achieving 730 days without Lost Time Injury (LTI) at the company’s Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) West Side Service Area (WSSA) facility, reflecting the team work and operational excellence under the highest safety standards of those working at the facility. The ceremony was attended by senior members of GWC management as well as a guest speaker from one of the facilities biggest clients speaking to 250 of the company’s employees. The event also highlighted the company’s continuing campaign summarized by the safety slogan: “One Team, One Goal, Zero Incident – I’m Committed”.
“The safety of our people, our facilities, and our clients’ goods is paramount in everything we do,” stated GWC Senior Director of Commercial Services Mr. Naji Nassar. “This achievement in Ras Laffan is a reflection of this commitment to hold ourselves to the highest levels of occupational health and safety.”
The RLIC WSSA facility is one of GWC’s specialized hubs that offer logistics and supply chain solutions for the oil and gas sector including warehousing, distribution, pipe yards and inspection facilities. The company offers these services in accordance with the highest Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE) standards, which provide the framework for all the company’s service offerings and operations. Last week, FIFA announced that GWC (Q.P.S.C.), has signed as the first Official National Supporter of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019™ presented by Alibaba Cloud. GWC will be entrusted to carry out the complex logistics requirements for the tournament as the official logistics provider. The FIFA Club World Cup 2019 Qatar™ will be played from 11 to 21 December at three venues in Qatar.
